Useful Czech Genealogy Links:
The Prague State Regional Archive. This archive houses materials for the Stredocesky Kraj. This website also links you to all of the other sub-archives in the Prague region via the drop-down list at the top right of the page. They also offer brief overview of research at their archive. The archive can only carry out limited research requests, but still, that's better than nothing!
Shon Edwards' Czech Genealogy Research Outline. Some of the information in this outline is a little outdated, by most of the inforamtion will be extremely valuable to researchers with Czech interests. Shon's homepage also links to his powerpoint presentations about "Beginning Czech Research," and "L.D.S. Microfilming in the Czech and Slovak Republics."Professional Czech Researchers.
As of March 2009, I understand that with the exception of the Plzen archive, all Czech regional archives plan to put significant portions of their records online, either through Familysearch.org, or independently. For those researching Czech roots, this is very, very good news.
